Riley & Gathu, All the people, All the culture, all the love

The day of Riley & Gathu is truly a celebration never to be forgotten. People from around the world flew in to celebrate this wonderful couple. Riley is warm, full of love, joy and kindness. Gathu is full of laughter, draws people in with his openness, is definitely the life of the party. Together they have this undeniable chemistry which testifies to the existence of love.

Their celebration was big! Full of friends, full of the traditions of a wedding ceremony, full of singing, full of Kenyan culture, full of people smiling and cheering. One of the most unique things I've ever experienced was at the end of their wedding ceremony at the stunning All Saints Woollahra, was when all of Gathu's aunties sang them out of the church in a Kenyan song. The harmonies felt tangible and the joy along with it.

The most beautiful light sprayed across the city for their portrait session where their friends excitement for the couple were on full display. Riley & Gathu were completely unfazed by any time delays, or doing some fun poses Ivan and I wanted to try. They just wanted to have fun.

Their reception was a party no doubt. The crowd came ready, cheering and dancing, clapping and crying alongside the couple and their families straight through the night. Their saving grace; the gelto cart!

Some weddings stick with you long after they're over, and this one - it lives in my brain rent free.
